Falling on the 13th of February, Galentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to share a little appreciation with your gal pals.
Whether you’re heading to the spa, having a night on the town, or just indulging in a nice bottle of wine and some girly movies, starting with a memorable meal is the perfect chance to really wow your girlfriends and make it an event to remember. Maybe it’s mimosas over brunch, an elegant lunch or a four-course catered dinner–whatever you choose to do–we’re certain that our Galentine’s inspired table settings will give you plenty of ideas to show your creative side.

Treat your Galentine's event as an extension of your friendship, by lovingly creating a tablescape that will leave the ladies in your life feeling inspired.
The most stunning table settings use a central colour palette and a memorable centrepiece to tie all the elements together. For our blush and floral-themed Galentine’s table, we led with classic blush tones and a touch of gold, using softer creams and whites to balance the tablescape. Fresh hints of green added by the bouquet also give everything a lovely lift.
If you do plan to use a different palette for your centrepiece, then keep a few things in mind. First, try to decide what the overall colour scheme will be. The metal used in your cutlery is an excellent place to start. Pinks, blushes and creams are natural partners to gold, whereas silver cutlery might look more elegant paired with soft lilac tones and purples.
It can also be a good idea to add variety to the bouquet. While it can be tempting to go with classic pin roses, a florist may have alternative ideas (and cheaper ones at this time of the year) for a mix of flowers that include different sizes, colours and shapes of blooms. Alternating flower types can truly bring the centrepiece to life while adding a sense of balance that can give the bouquet a much more natural feel.

We went for the ultimate red velvet cake, iced in delicate blush and decorated with some fresh flowers (“borrowed” from the bouquet!). We can attest to the fact that it tastes just as good as it looks, and we have Que-t Sweet Treats to thank for that!

A bit of charm will keep things classy
